Oct 4, 2023. Today, the AKDA announces the appointment of its new board of directors:

President/Registrar - Terri Pogue
Vice President - Dr Phil Sponenberg
Secretary/Treasurer - Pat Harder
​At-Large Representative - Paulette Wohnoutka
At-Large Representative/Web Manager - Tony Pogue

The AKDA is committed to the education, support and preservation of the Karakachan breed. The new board will dutifully follow that mission as each member is wholly dedicated to the Karakachan breed and to those in the Karakachan community who share our passion for the advancement of these amazing guardians.

In the coming weeks, we will be posting introductions of each new board member along with some background information and their experience and connection to the Karakachan breed as well as a brief description of the responsibilities they will assume.

We are excited for the future of both the AKDA and the opportunity to raise awareness of our beloved Karakachan breed. We each look forward to serving all of you as members of the AKDA.
